Tiredness of Love

Written by Amir Saleem | Tue, Jul 1, 2008

Poems

I got tired of loving her

For how long could I

Cut my own passages and spread them under her feet

For how long could I

Kiss her falling tears away

For how long could I

Spread my smiles on her dry lips

.

I got tired of loving her

Thinking, that now I would get my destiny,

All by myself

.

I slid my path from underneath her feet

And…

.

Fell on my face

The End

Poet’s Note: The poem was originally written in Urdu language; it is roughly translated in English and might have lost its effect, if any. Apologies for that.

I loved it. My favorite line is “Fell on my face”. The translation seems to be perfect but I would love to read the urdu version as well. Thanks for sharing!

    MOHABBAT KI THAKAAN

Mein Us Se Mohabbat Kartey Kartey Thak Gya Tha

Kab Tak Us Ke Pairon Taley

Apney Hissey Ke Rastey Kaat Kaat Kar Bichata

Kab Tak Us Ki Udass Aankhon Se Girney Waley

    Saarey Aansoo Choomta

Kab Tak Apney Labon Ki Muskuraahat

Us Ke Khushk Labon Pe Bikhairta

Mein Us Se Mohabbat Kartey Kartey Thak Gya Tha

Bas Yahi Soch Kar Ke Ab Zindagi Ki Saari Manzilein

    Akeley Hi Haasil Karoon Ga

Mein Ne Us Ke Pairon Taley Se

Apney Hissey Ka Rasta Khainch Liya

    Aur….

    Mun Ke Bal Gir Para
